Hamilton Harvest 2-6 Carluke

Date: 31-Oct-09
Competition: League
Scorers: Brian Hamilton, Paul Rollo
Man of the Match: Alex Dick
Match Report:

Hamilton Harvest suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of last season’s league and cup winners Carluke on Saturday. A less than satisfactory first half performance in which Harvest had a man sent off saw Carluke race in to a 4 goal lead within the first 30 minutes. Harvest did rally in the second half and played better but with a few players already on yellow cards they were walking a tightrope and Harvest found themselves down to 8 men after the referee reached for his cards for challenges that never even deserved a talking too. Despite being down to 8 men Harvest played well at times and did manage 2 goals, the first was a header from Hammy from a corner and the second was a penalty after Des was fouled in the box. Paul stepped up and riffled his shot straight down the middle. With their numerical advantage and lots of space Carluke created plenty chances and added 2 more goals to their tally and ran out 6-2 winners.

Unlucky today guys it was a difficult game. Let’s forget about it but make sure we learn from it. Let’s pick ourselves up and make sure that next week we are right up for it and get back to winning ways.
